Orthopedic means anything that has to do with muscles, tendons, bones, ligaments, or joints. This includes the spine but also shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
All these must work together with good strength, range of motion, and coordination, control/stability, and balance to produce effective, useful, and painfree movement. Injury, surgery, or even poor habits, disrupts tissue and causes problems or pain that interferes with normal movement. We know how your body works and how to encourage healing of damaged tissue, and restore normal strength, motion, coordination, control, and balance using many different techniques, and training methods that we combine to apply to your particular needs. This is the essence of physical therapy.
