Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is when the therapist uses their hands to apply stress or force against the tissue or to resist force the patient is instructed to exert, in order to correct joint performance, stretch tight tissues, strengthen or recruit weak or unused muscles. This can be used to treat the spine and extremities to correct movement problems.

All of our therapists have additional training in the use of manual therapy to treat a wide variety of conditions. We also provide special treatment tables to facilitate positioning for the most comfortable and effective treatment possible.

Spinal Stabilization Stability of the spine is critical for maximum functional strength and movement without pain. This is particularly true for the low back. The spine is the body's base, or platform, from which we can use our extremities. If that base is not stable, that is, if it allows uncontrolled movement, that causes pain and reduces the ability to use the head, arms, and legs effectively without back pain.

A good example is the difference in diving into water from a solid dock, which is stable, versus from a canoe, which is unstable. You do much better from the dock. Our stabilization program makes your spine function more like the stable dock.
