We have been performing jobsite assessments for 20 years. During a jobsite assessment the therapist looks at the workspace and work process to determine how the work place and process design may or may not place stress on the worker using it. The assessment is performed with the worker who uses the space and the supervisor who has the authority to make changes. The factors which are contributing to stress are identified and recommendations for changes given. Recommendations made are reasonable and of minimal cost, in most cases.

As opposed to the jobsite, the choices the worker makes that determine how he/she uses the workspace are evaluated. A worker may make choices in the worksite that renders even the best workspace design a hazard. One example is with a computer desktop design, if the worker sits forward in the chair with his/her head toward the monitor, it will result in pain. The correct behavior is to sit back, pull the chair up and let it support in a relaxed position. We can identify these behaviors and teach corrections.
